Transamerica Life Bermuda marks new milestone in Singapore with key appointment
Transamerica Life (Bermuda) Ltd. (Transamerica Life Bermuda), announced that Mr. Nicholas Kourteff has joined Transamerica Life Bermuda in Singapore to become its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) starting on 15 August. Mr. Kourteff will also be part of the Leadership team and will report directly to Marc Lieberman, Transamerica Life Bermuda’s global CEO. In this role, Mr. Kourteff is responsible for executing the corporate strategy to spearhead the next phase of growth for Transamerica Life Bermuda’s business in Singapore and accelerate shareholder returns while ensuring the operational effectiveness of the business.
Mr. Kourteff is an accomplished executive with over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, and brings a wealth of expertise in HNW financial planning and distribution. Before joining Transamerica Life Bermuda, he was Director, Head, Product Management Insurance Solutions, APAC, with Credit Suisse Trust Limited based in Singapore where he was responsible for driving the growth of their HNW insurance business in Southeast Asia. Mr. Kourteff’s prior experience also includes many years in Hong Kong where he held senior management positions working with UBS, AXA, Winterthur Life as well as Credit Suisse Group Private Bank.
Mr. Kourteff holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business in Applied Economics from the University of South Australia, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He also holds Hong Kong qualifications in insurance, MPF and the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute.
