Siam Commercial Bank transformed itself from a traditional institution into a complete financial technology group. Over the past five years, it progressively reimagined the bank’s technology architecture and also set up several tech-driven start-ups under the SCB Transformation Project. Their successes include SCB 10X, which has received $400m in tech investments and Purple Ventures’ Robinhood, a food-delivery app with over 2 million users.
10:30 – 12:00National Innovation Agency (NIA) is to support and develop Thailand’s innovation system, in both the way of improvement and initiation to promote economic restructuring and competitive enhancement. They function as the key engine driving national innovation by co-creation, networking, fostering and partnering different organisations from various fields such as academic, technology, industry, finance and investment. Its main focus is on utilizing knowledge management to achieve innovation, particularly to foster “innovation on cluster platform” which uses innovation as the principle tool in improving quality of life and driving towards an increasing competitive economy.
14:00 – 15:30By providing low-priced delivery services, Flash service was initially designed for online sellers on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LINE. Using its door-to-door pickup and delivery service, Flash Express accounted for 15% of Thailand’s parcel delivery market share. The company uses its own technology and big data developed in-house. It offers a suite of services for e-commerce service providers, such as Flash Logistics for large-item delivery, Flash Fulfillment for goods storage, and Flash Money financial services.
16:30 – 18:00Founded in 2013, Ascend Money is Thailand’s first fintech unicorn. In September 2021, the company raised U$150 million in investor funding that gave it a U$1.5 billion valuation. It is one of the Southeast Asia’s leading companies providing innovative payment and financial services across seven counties, namely Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and the Philippines and Malaysia.
Ascend Money is the company behind TrueMoney Wallet, the leading digital payment and financial service platform in Thailand, with more than 50 million users. It is expanding digital financial services, including digital lending, digital investment and cross border remittances across Southeast Asia.

13:30 – 15:00Krung Thai Bank is focused on innovating and developing digital financial products and services in line with rapidly changing customer behaviour. Its new Krungthai NEXT application was developed with world-class technology and includes features that can support future financial activities. Pao Tang, an open banking application, can support and facilitate routine life and business needs on an open digital platform with services in payments, government, health, education and public transportation.
