French banking group BNP Paribas has announced changes at the top of its Wealth Management division in Asia Pacific.
Pierre Vrielinck is appointed Chief Executive Officer taking over the role from Mignonne Cheng, currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who will continue as Chairman.
New CEO Vrielinck has over twenty years' experience in banking with the last six years spent in Wealth Management, notably as Chief Executive Officer for BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Switzerland and Emerging Markets. The appointments are effective April 5, 2017 the bank said in a press release.
Cheng has successfully led the Wealth Management business in Asia Pacific for over six years achieving strong business growth and more than doubling assets under management.
