Berkshire Bank has announced the appointment of Jeffrey D. Stone as Senior Vice President, Retail Branch Banking for the Bank’s entire New York and New England network. In this new position, Stone will bring industry leadership, community involvement at the highest level, and extensive retail banking experience as the Bank continues to attract high-level talent throughout the organization.

He brings over 35 years of extensive retail banking experience with leading regional banking institutions to Berkshire.”
Stone will join Curley, Michael D. Carroll, Executive Vice President, and Scott J. Houghtaling, Executive Vice President, at Berkshire Bank’s new Albany regional headquarters located at 30 South Pearl Street.

Prior to Berkshire Bank, Stone held senior leadership roles in the banking industry, including District President at KeyBank where he was directly responsible for a workforce of almost 1,000 employees in commercial, wealth management, retail, investment services and mortgage banking. Stone most recently served as Senior Vice President of Retail and Business Development at Kinderhook Bank.
Active in the community, Mr. Stone serves on the boards of Albany Medical Center, Columbia Memorial Health, College of Saint Rose, Center for Economic Growth, Totman Medical Research Foundation, in addition to the Palace Theater.
Mr. Stone grew up in Malone, New York. He holds a Bachelors of Economics from St. Lawrence University and graduated from the American Bankers Association- Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware. Stone currently resides in Waterford, NY with his wife Diane and has two grown children.
