Thadpong Pongthawornkamol is the managing director and distinguished visionary architect at KBTG, Thailand. Under his lead, the team of engineers, data scientists, and researchers have been using deep technology such as data science and machine learning to transform the organization. So far, the team has made technical accomplishment on many fronts such as advanced marketing analytics, deep image processing, and Thai natural language processing (Thai NLP). Prior to KBTG, Dr. Pongthawornkamol has spent his adventurous years in the US, working as a software engineer in a variety of Wall Street and Silicon Valley technology companies including Bloomberg and Google.
Reda Aouami is the sales director for APAC at Backbase and is leading the effort to extend Backbase capabilities to banks in its growth markets. Reda has a wealth of experience in enabling banks throughout their digitisation journey across risk, lending, core banking, and engagement banking.
Martin Buchholz has spent most of his career in the financial and IT services in Asia Pacific (APAC) pioneering several waves of digital transformations. Buchholz joined CIMB in January 2018 as programme manager at CIMB FinTech, delivering solutions across the CIMB Group. He became the head of CIMB Thai digital consumer banking in late 2018, responsible for digital initiatives starting from consumer banking. His career began in the development labs of IBM in the US and UK. After moving to APAC, he became the vice-president and chief of staff at Citibank APAC corporate bank and later the chief technology officer (CTO) of first-e, Asia’s first internet-only bank and founder of internet startup Book-n-go.com during the internet boom. He went on to be an advisor and managing consultant in the financial services and telco industries with major engagements with banks in Singapore and Thailand, as well as leading the technical build of the Continuous Link Settlement (CLS) utility for the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
