Irfan Siddiqui and Meezan Bank recognised as Best CEO and Best Managed Bank in Pakistan
As President and CEO, Irfan Siddiqui successfully led Meezan Bank to become the fourth largest in terms of deposits from being a small commercial bank in 2002. At the end of 2020, the bank was the fifth largest in terms of deposits and fourth largest by the end of 2021.
Under his leadership during the period under review, Meezan Bank grew its asset book, concentrating on portfolio diversification and maintaining its focus on quality credit, while containing its funding and operating costs. The bank’s profitability has shown a significant increase during 2019 to 2021. The compound annual growth rate of net profit in the past three years was an impressive 29%.
Siddiqui has put greater emphasis on the development of the Meezan Bank’s human capital. The bank is currently the leading financial institution in the country in providing learning and development opportunities to its workforce including training programmes to support its digital technology infrastructures.
Under his leadership, Meezan Bank is recognised as the Best Managed Bank in Pakistan.
The CEO Leadership Achievement for Pakistan Award goes to Founding President & CEO of Meezan Bank, Irfan Siddiqui.
