RCBC’s Branch of Today was recognised for its fully automated and modernised branch network

RCBC's Branch of Today (BOT) initiative was recognised with the Best Branch Banking Initiative award due to its significant impact on productivity and modernisation across its branch network. As of June 2024, around 342 out of 440 branches have been converted to the Full BOT setup, which is fully-automated, while the remaining 98 branches use the Service Associate (SA) Portal setup. The transformation has led to a substantial lift in productivity, evidenced by an 88% improvement in revenue per capita compared with 2020 figures for branches converted between 2020 and 2022. More new accounts were also opened as result, with each branch processing 27 more accounts than in 2020. The branches contribute significantly to the bank’s performance, generating 49% of the retail banking revenue in 2023 through deposits, fees, and other income.
