Islami Bank Bangladesh is the Strongest Islamic Bank by Balance Sheet in Bangladesh in 2022.

The bank saw its Tier 1 capital ratio improve from 8.7% in 2020 to 9.2% in 2021, as one of its top priorities is to strengthen its capital base. Its total capital adequacy ratio stood at 13.7%, higher than the average of 10.4% for all Bangladeshi banks on the list. It registered a 15.3% loan growth and a 16.9% deposit growth. In addition, its gross NPL ratio improved marginally to 3.3%, the second lowest in the country.
Meanwhile, as the largest Islamic bank in the country, it also maintained a higher level of liquidity buffers and loan loss reserves than other Islamic banks. Its loan loss reserves to gross NPLs ratio remained sufficient, at 135%.
