AmBank Malaysia was recognised for its Robotics Process Automation (RPA) initiative. Launched in 2021, its RPA has improved the retail banking process that impacted the customer experience. The bank automated tasks across 14 diverse projects, from merchant business solutions to collections and recovery management. Boasting the fastest processing time among this year’s nominees, its RPA bots can screen 2.3 million customer records annually, streamlining the credit application process. These bots also have tripled the processing volume for merchants, with improved accuracy and turnaround times, fueling a 118% yoy growth in AmBank's E-Commerce market share. Overall, RPA's impact on retail business has resulted in a 4% increase in AmBank's Net Promoter Score. By saving the equivalent of 20 full-time employees' labor, its RPAs has generated over $500 million in hard savings and cost avoidance.
