Best Payments Initiative goes to Bank of Ayudhya for its ‘QR Cross-border Outbound Service’

This payments initiative enables international QR-code payments, facilitating quick and secure payments. It is a pioneering and cost-effective solution, providing a Thai footprint for QR code payment in Japan and other countries. 

The bank’s QR Cross-border Outbound Service expanded to 209 retailers globally. The volume of transactions grew by nearly five times in 2021 compared to 2020, and by 18 times in the full-year intervals. Customers and stores benefit from real-time payment results, faster money transfers, competitive currency rates, and zero transaction fees.

This QR service incorporated in the mobile app offers a convenient, secure, and cost-effective payment channel for international transactions needs of tourists, expats and travellers. For these achievements, the award for Best Payments Initiative goes to Bank of Ayudhya for its ‘QR Cross-border Outbound Service’.
