Finnq – Hana Financial Group’s joint venture with SK Telecom

Finnq is an artificial intelligence-based mobile financial service made for spending habit of money. The joint venture, Finnq, was established with a starting capital of 50 billion won ($43 million) with SK Telecom. The new venture is backed by SK Telecom’s advance mobile platform technology and big data analysis capability, as well as Hana’s various financial services. Finnq is also focusing on nurturing new fintech startups in a bid to contribute to the development of the domestic fintech industry.

Finnq launched its first service, such as mobile asset management and P2P finance in 2017, and is now working with ten banks after making additional partnership with local banks.

KB InsighT – South Korea’s first bank branch run solely by information technology personnel

KB InsighT, launched in October 2019 with 10 engineers, deals with process-related complaints without delay and without intermediate steps. It provides customers with every banking service handled by the information technology personnel, who test various digital banking products and services while communicating with customers. The branch comes with technology desks so that startups with financial ideas and technologies can make direct business propositions at the branch. KB InsighT also functions as a test bed for new digital financial products and services. We will visit the branch and meet with an executive member to hear about their new and experimental services.

AIZEN Global – XAI: Explainable AI for better decision-making

AIZEN provides business-focused AI applications for finance. They are the creators of an AI engine called ABACUS which can automate big data analysis for key decision-making. AIZEN uses machine learning, deep learning, and predictive models to provide the best possible financial solution. Furthermore, through the ABACUS platform, businesses can automate retail banking and insurance as well as predict financial patterns. They are already working with Woori Bank to implement their AI system, and with the Korean government to create better finance systems using AI technology.

We will meet with JS Kang, CEO & Founder and hear about their path of strategic partnership to collaborate on implementation their XAI technology.
