Dr. Richard L. Sandor has been invited to share his views on carbon markets. Sandor is an entrepreneur and economist who invents markets. He is currently chairman of the board and CEO of the American Financial Exchange. He is also CEO of Environmental Financial Products LLC. Sandor founded Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) – the world's first exchange to facilitate the reduction and trading of all six greenhouse gases. In 2007, he was named the "father of carbon trading" by Time Magazine for his work in designing, developing and launching CCX and affiliated exchanges. He is widely recognised as the "father of financial futures" for his pioneering work in developing the first interest rate futures contract in the 1970s, when he served as chief economist and vice president of the Chicago Board of Trade.

Zhang Jun, Dean, School of Economics, Fudan University Dean

Zhang Jun has been invited to share his views on China’s economy and financial services industry outlook in light of the 14th Five-Year Plan and dual circulation strategy. He is a professor of economics and currently serves as dean of School of Economics at Fudan University. He is an expert in a vast array of topics including structural change and economic dynamics, the world economy, China economic review, and comparative economic studies. Zhang is the recipient of the Bergson Prize by the American Association for Comparative Economic Studies. For the past 25 years, he has authored or edited numerous books including Economic Transition with Chinese Characteristics: Thirty Years of Reform and Opening Up, Transformation of the Chinese Enterprises. He was also on the editorial board of about 40 academic journals both in Chinese and English. Zhang is also the founding director of the China Centre for Economic Studies.

Huang Yiping,
Deputy Dean and Sinar Mas Chair Professor of Finance and Economics, National School of Development, Peking University

Huang Yiping has been invited to share his views on accelerating financial industry development through further opening up measures as well as digital and green transition. He currently serves as deputy dean and Sinar Mas chair professor of finance and economics at the National School of Development, and director of the institute of digital finance at Peking University. His expertise includes macroeconomic policy and financial reforms. Huang also takes multiple roles as vice chairman, research fellow and committee member for the affiliates of the Counsellors’ Office of the State Council. Prior to this, Huang served as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee at People’s Bank of China, and chief economist of various international financial institutions.

Sunil Mascarenhas,

Mr. Mascarenhas leads ADB’s Supply Chain Finance initiative. Prior to joining ADB, he was a consultant with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and led the deployment of Supply Chain Finance Advisory solutions for IFC’s client banks in South Asia. He is a career banker with extensive banking experience gained in the course of 15-year association with HSBC with senior roles in Commercial Banking, Trade & Supply Chain and Risk Management.

Gong Li,

Mr. Mascarenhas leads ADB’s Supply Chain Finance initiative. Prior to joining ADB, he was a consultant with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and led the deployment of Supply Chain Finance Advisory solutions for IFC’s client banks in South Asia. Gong Li,

Gong Li is the general manager of corporate banking at WeBank. He has more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance, specialising in the fields of retail and corporate finance. Gong has developed deep insights on the industry. At WeBank, he led the team that launched the "Weiyedai" product, providing online credit service and working capital loan to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to help solve their financing difficulties.

Dou Yanhong has been invited to share her views on supply chain finance. She is currently the CEO of Global Logistic Properties (GLP) Financial. She is fully responsible for the strategy sorting and operation management of the company. She has nearly 30 years of experience in business management, product design, project management, marketing and risk control in commercial and investment banking. Dou joined Citic Securities as executive general manager of strategic client department and executive general manager of investment banking committee. Lu Yong has been invited to share his view on innovated integration between traditional financial service industry and digital technologies. He is currently chief technology officer of LexinFintech, in charge of overall management of the company's technology development business. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in technology development and management. Prior to joining LexinFintech, Lu was chief information officer of Ping An Life Insurance. He has worked as a software engineer at Microsoft’s Seattle headquarters for over 10 years since 2003. He joined Facebook as a senior software engineer. Lu returned to China in 2014 and served at various positions including general manager of the advertising department of Sina Weibo, and chief technology officer of 51Talk and Sina Mobile. He also has five US-signed technology patents.

Zhu Jianhua

Zhu Jianhua has been invited to share his view on how fintech is reshaping micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME) lending business. He is the co-founder and vice president of Dashu Financial. He has accumulated 20 years of experience in product development, business management and risk management on MSME and personal loans. Prior to this, Zhu was the general manager assistant of the integrated finance department and member of the retail loan review committee at Ping An Bank (formerly known as Shenzhen Development Bank), in charge of marketing, product development and system construction of loan service business. He was also one of preparation group member of Lufax, an associate of Ping An Group.

Chen Wen,Partner and Vice President; President, Financial Cloud Business Division, Tongdun Technology

Chen Wen has been invited to share his view on how digital technologies can empower risk management. He is currently partner and vice president of Tongdun Technology and also serves as the president of the financial cloud business division. He specialises in the application of information technology, enterprise management consulting and internal business operation management. Prior to this position, Chen worked at IMB for over 20 years and held various positions including general manager of cloud advisory services unit at IBM Global Business Services (GBS), general manager of China finance industry sector at IBM GBS, partner of project operations and risk management department, and many others. He was also first local partner of IBM GBS China.

Sean Kidney, CEO, Climate Bonds Initiative

Sean Kidney has been invited to share his views on global green bond markets. He has been the CEO of Climate Bonds Initiative for ten years. He has worked to mobilise global capital for climate action. His projects include a certification scheme with $34 trillion of assets represented on its board; working with the Chinese central bank on growing green bond markets; promoting development programmes in Brazil, ASEAN and Africa; and supporting market tracking services for the green bonds industry. He is a member of the European Union Platform on Sustainable Finance and a member of green finance committees in China, India, Mexico and Kazakhstan. Kidney is also a professor at SOAS University of London.

Hu Jie，Professor of Practice, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Hu Jie is currently the professor of practice at the Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF). His research interests cover fintech, financial institutions and financial markets. He is leading a project on the application of blockchain technology on supply chain finance. Professor Hu formerly worked at the US Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as a senior financial economist, responsible for research into finance and economics as well as monetary policy analysis and recommendations. Thereafter, he worked in senior management roles in various FIs and technology companies, including Bankers Trust (Hong Kong), BankBoston, Precom and financial business branch of Xunlei.

Cui Ying，
Director, Climate Finance Centre, the International Institute of Green Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics

Cui Ying has been invited to share her view on the development of the carbon emission trading market. She is currently the director of the climate finance centre of the international institute of green finance at Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). She is also a senior researcher at the research centre for climate and energy finance at CUFE. Her main research interests are climate finance and carbon market mechanisms. She has more than 15 years of experience in the field of climate change. She was the technical director of Electricite De France Trading China, having undertaken development and management of more than 100 energy saving and emission reduction projects. Since 2016, she has compiled the China Climate Financing Report annually and published many articles on green finance and low carbon in notable journals. She has rich experience in projects with international organisations such as the World Bank, the Energy Foundation, and the World Resources Institute.

Hu Bofei，

Hu Bofei has been invited to share her view on China's financial markets opening-up and RMB internationalisation. She is currently the deputy general manager of international business department of China Construction Bank (CCB). Prior to this position, she worked in the custody services department over 20 years since she joined CCB in 1999, where she had accumulated rich experience in Chinese stock market infrastructure, mutual fund, and cross-border custody service, especially in the qualified foreign institutional investor (QFII) programme. Cliff Wu has been invited to speak on how artificial intelligence can drive the financial services industry and would it become a new normal. He is the CEO of Souxinda Holdings Limited (Souxinda). With over 20 years of experience in big data management and applications, he leads the team to help customers create higher value from massive data. Prior to joining Suoxinda in 2019, Wu served as head of Greater China for three global technology companies, including SAS, FICO and Teradata.

Edmond Lau has been invited to give a keynote speech onthe Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s (HKMA) effort in stabilising the market since the outbreak of COVID-19 and the consistent support to the development of fintech. He is currently responsible for the external affairs, financial infrastructure and research at HKMA. He joined the organisation in 1997 as the head of the banking development division and has been involved in banking reform and the establishment of thedeposit protection scheme.
